The technological advances of the 21st century came with a promise: our lives would change for the better. In some ways, that promise has been kept. But at the same time we have been plunged into an attention economy, where your value as a consumer is measured by how much time you spend staring at a screen.
As recent college grads, we feel this firsthand. Meeting new people is hard, finding new places is harder, and the rhythms of everyday life leave little room for the fuller social life we know is out there.
That's why we're building Agora. We aren't trying to turn your social life into a digital one; we're trying to make it easier to get out the door. Our aims are simple: to make socializing feel easier, to create new runways for spontaneity, and to help people stay close to their friends and make new ones. The rest is up to you.
